DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
For the needs of our Operations department in Belgrade, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Senior Remuneration and Benefits Specialist position in our local subsidiary DPM AVALA d.o.o. Beograd.
Role Purpose:
Engaged with the calculation and payment of remunerations, payroll report drafting, providing administrative services to employees regarding work attendance and income received, to ensure fair remuneration, compensation and benefits practices and reliable supporting documentation, compliant with legal and corporate requirements.
Description of responsibilities:
- Calculates monthly remunerations;
- Prepares and sends out employee pay slips;
- Participates in the preparation of and oversees the submission of shift reports, receives and processes attendance forms and other documents related to reporting employee working hours;
- Ensures that supervisors upload shift reports in HeRMeS in a timely manner; ensures that all changes are reflected accordingly, if any;
- Prepares info about labor market wage surveys;
- Monitors staff annual leave;
- Issues company certificates related to staff incomes;
- Receives and processes attendance forms from departments and units;
- Processes sick leaves and exports them to the National Social Insurance Institute;
- Contact banks, insurers and other institutions regarding staff remuneration and benefits;
- Coordinates employees’ claims related to their Company medical insurance;
- Enters in HeRMeS information about staff remuneration deductions related to insurances, distraints, memberships, etc. and keeps supporting documentation
- Acts as Administrator of the Company’s current HR Management Information System (HeRMeS) and is in charge of related system updates and upgrades;
- Maintains system documentation;
- Ensures compliance with adopted controls related to the system’s operation and in line with application security policies adopted by DPMC and DPMK.
- Prepares all statistical work reports;
- Prepares monthly salary cost reports;
- Prepares payroll reports;
- Prepares work time reports, including overtime;
- Prepares information for external and internal auditors;
- Responsible for the proper storage of documents s/he is entrusted with - protects them from damage, unauthorized access, distribution or tampering;
- Responsible for protecting employees’ confidential information and personal data.
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics, Business or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of tax, labour and insurance-related statutory acts
- Good understanding of the Labour Code, Social Security Code and Personal Data Protection Act
- Knowledge of Internal Labour Regulations and legislative requirements related to ensuring health and safety at work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience working with HR software and personnel administration systems
- Good command of English
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
