We are seeking a Senior System Analyst to join our team and support our US-based partner company. Our partner company is a business process outsourcing company delivering AI-governed contact center, sales, and marketing services for regulated industries.
The System Analyst is a hands-on data engineering and workflow automation role responsible for designing, maintaining, optimizing, and modernizing data processing solutions. The role is centered on advanced Alteryx development and requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server to support existing Alteryx workflows, troubleshoot and optimize data processes, and progressively migrate appropriate Alteryx logic into scalable SQL-based solutions. Work is generally independent and collaborative, with responsibility for delivering accurate, production-ready results for internal teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Execute complex data preparation and processing activities, including match/consolidate, suppression, overlay/enhancement, data cleansing, parsing, de-duplication, and rule-based transformation.
- Design, build, test, document, deploy, and maintain advanced Alteryx workflows, applications, macros, and reusable components for client and internal solutions.
- Provide hands-on support for the existing Alteryx environment, including troubleshooting workflow issues, validating inputs and outputs, improving workflow reliability, and optimizing performance.
- Assemble, configure, schedule, and monitor automated Alteryx workflows and related production processes, ensuring repeatable and controlled execution.
- Use strong SQL skills to query, transform, reconcile, validate, and analyze data in Microsoft SQL Server and other enterprise data environments; write complex queries and support performance optimization.
- Partner with Data Management and technology teams to assess Alteryx workflows for modernization and migrate suitable workflow logic into Microsoft SQL Server solutions, including views, stored procedures, tables, and other SQL-based processing patterns.
- Reverse-engineer existing Alteryx workflows when needed to understand business rules, transformation logic, dependencies, and data lineage before translating them into SQL-based implementations.
- Validate functional parity between Alteryx and SQL solutions through structured testing, record-level reconciliation, exception analysis, and performance comparison; document differences and remediation actions.
- Contribute to Alteryx standards, reusable patterns, development practices, and technical guidance; support the business with Alteryx-related questions and best practices.
- Build and execute data queries, reports, and analytical extracts requested by internal or external clients, translating requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Ensure data hygiene and processing solutions comply with internal SOPs, customer business rules, change-control requirements, and applicable data quality standards.
- Document job-specific workflows, SQL logic, processing rules, dependencies, and operating procedures; contribute to SOP development and ongoing process management.
- Work independently within defined priorities, manage multiple deliverables, identify risks/issues early, and collaborate effectively with team leads, management, account teams, and clients.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in data mining, large-scale data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, and processing across structured and unstructured data.
- Advanced, hands-on Alteryx development experience, ideally 4+ years, including complex workflows, applications, macros, reusable components, automation, debugging, and production support.
- Strong practical SQL experience, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex querying, joins, CTEs, aggregations, data transformations, validation, and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on development requirement rather than a database-administration role.
- Experience translating data-processing or workflow logic from visual ETL tools such as Alteryx into SQL-based implementations; ability to evaluate when migration to Microsoft SQL Server is appropriate.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts including query optimization, indexes, Cartesian joins, rollback scenarios, truncation, configuration management, and related data-processing considerations.
- Experience with advanced data processing and manipulation functions such as match/consolidate, parsing, de-duplication, standardization, suppression, and enrichment.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and 4-6+ years of relevant Data Management, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related experience.
- Familiarity with enterprise data-query and processing tools such as SQL, Oracle, SAS, and Microsoft Office; experience with source-control software is a plus.
- Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend solutions.
- Ability to work independently with limited step-by-step direction while effectively managing priorities, deliverables, workload, and tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills; strong team-player mindset.
- Marketing/data-services experience is desirable but not required.
We offer:
- Full-time, remote work
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, starting from 11am CET or later
- Private Health Insurance from day 1
- Timely and organized performance reviews
