THE ROLE
DE-YAN is looking for a sharp, detail-driven Senior Technical Architect to join our team. You'll work alongside global teams across a wide range of projects — from tech clients to fashion and retail — leading the translation of architectural designs into precise, construction-ready technical documentation. Working closely with the Creative Director, 3D architects, and designers, you'll be the technical authority who ensures everything is accurate, buildable, and true to the design vision from concept through installation.
To thrive in this role, you must be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable owning complex drawing packages across multiple concurrent projects. You bring both technical rigor and creative sensitivity — you know how to solve hard problems without losing what made the design great.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead technical 3D modeling and drawing production in Rhino, translating creative concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions that preserve design intent while meeting technical and practical constraints
- Generate detailed architectural drawings and specifications based on sketches, renders, 3D models, and schematic drawings
- Own drawing packages from design development through construction, load-in, and as-built documentation
Resolve complex geometry, assemblies, material transitions, and construction details - Review shop drawings, RFIs, substitutions, and fabrication proposals with a critical and experienced eye
- Collaborate with fabricators and event production teams to ensure constructability and on-site feasibility
- Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations across local and international markets
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases — interpreting drawings and resolving issues in real time
- Identify technical issues early and propose practical, cost-conscious solutions before they become problems
- Maintain disciplined file structures, revision control, and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Use 2D CAD, presentation, and layout software to compile, generate, and publish design and technical information
REQUIREMENTS
- 7–10 years of professional architectural or technical design experience
- 4–5 years focused on technical design, documentation, and construction administration
- 2–3 years using Rhino as a primary production tool in a professional setting
- Direct experience taking multiple projects from design development through fabrication, construction, and installation
- Proven experience coordinating and issuing drawing packages to fabricators, contractors, and vendors
- Background in event, experiential, or temporary structure fabrication — familiarity with the pace, constraints, and material vocabulary of large-format and live event builds is a strong plus
- Strong command of 2D CAD drafting tools; proficiency with presentation and layout software
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical problem-solving
- Effective communicator across disciplines — able to work fluently with creative teams, fabricators, and project managers
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines
- Self-directed and accountable — you manage your own workload and hold yourself to a high standard without being told twice
