We are currently seeking an experienced and independent SEO Strategist to join our team in support of our US-based partner company, Today’s Business. Today’s Business is a digital marketing agency managing multi-channel campaigns and specializing in Social Media Optimization, SEO, SEM, Website Development, Email Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.
As an SEO Strategist, you will run technical audits (site health, local/GBP optimization, structured data) as well as content strategy (keyword research, content briefs, on-page optimization). You will work across a diverse mix of industries, from medical and healthcare practices to home services, fintech and finance, consumer brands, and nonprofits.
Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy
- Develop and execute customized SEO strategies based on each client's goals, competitive landscape, industry, and search behavior
- Manage SEO strategy across approximately 10-20 client accounts
- Translate SEO data and research into clear priorities, recommendations, and actionable roadmaps
- Monitor organic performance and continually identify opportunities for improvement
Technical SEO
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and prioritize issues based on impact and effort
- Evaluate site health, crawlability, indexation, internal linking, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirects, canonicalization, and other technical factors
- Audit and recommend improvements to structured data/schema
- Identify technical barriers that may be limiting organic visibility
- Work with developers, designers, and other team members when technical changes require implementation support
Content & On-Page SEO
- Conduct keyword research and develop keyword targeting strategies
- Build content strategies around search intent, topical relevance, and business goals
- Create clear, actionable content briefs and content
- Optimize existing pages for keywords, search intent, internal linking, metadata, and on-page relevance
- Identify content gaps and opportunities based on competitors and SERP analysis
- Evaluate content performance and recommend updates, consolidation, expansion, or new content
Local SEO
- Develop and execute local SEO strategies for local and multi-location businesses
- Optimize and audit Google Business Profiles (GBP)
- Analyze local rankings, map visibility, citations, reviews, and local competitors
- Use local search data to identify opportunities to improve visibility in the local pack and organic results
Analytics & Reporting
- Use Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 to evaluate organic performance and diagnose issues
- Work with Google Tag Manager when needed to understand or support tracking requirements
- Analyze SEO performance beyond rankings, connecting organic search activity to leads, conversions, revenue, and other meaningful business outcomes
- Prepare insights and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
Client Communication
- Present SEO audits, findings, strategies, recommendations, and performance insights directly to clients
- Explain complex SEO concepts in clear, business-friendly language
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Experience in both technical SEO and content strategy
- Experience with both local and national SEO campaigns
- Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization and local search
- Highly proficient in keyword research, search intent analysis, content strategy, and on-page optimization
- Knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and GA4
- Experience with Ahrefs (primary), SEMrush, and/or BrightLocal
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Previous experience presenting SEO recommendations directly to clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Familiarity with Monday.com is a plus
