DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
For the company needs in our Bor location, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Service Desk Specialist position.
Role Purpose:
The main role of the Service Desk Specialist will be to support the DPM Avala IT department, to assist in managing IT user accounts and assets, carry out proactive monitoring of systems and assist with new projects and implementations.
Description of responsibilities:
- Provides first level investigation and diagnosis of all DPM IT equipment and services;
- Logs, allocates, categorizes and prioritizes Incidents/Service and Change requests;
- Resolves Incidents/ Service requests;
- Escalates Incidents/ Services request on a need basis;
- Keeps users informed of the progress;
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests;
- Resolves all resolved Incidents and Service Requests;
- Configures end-users computer systems, software installations and updates;
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners;
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
- Identifies and diagnoses computer and software issues and problems;
- Providing technical support, including questions and possible solutions across the company (this may be in person or over the phone);
- Setting up accounts for new users;
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;
- Testing new technology;
- Identifies and diagnoses computer and software issues and problems;
- Provides technical support, investigations, repairs or maintenance with regards to computers, equipment, software and services of the company;
- Advises end-users on appropriate course of action;
- Contributes for IT knowledgebase fulfilment and IT Service management processes improvement.
Requirements:
- Preferably bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent, or related subject or High school diploma with relevant working experience;
- 1-2 year of experience in IT field; Experience in the Mining or / and Exploration industries will be an advantage;
- Working knowledge of MS Office products:
- IT Service Desk (First Line Support) processes;
- MS Windows client OS - installation and configuration;
- Web-based technologies;
- Knowledge of MS Excel, and/or other reporting tool;
- Proficiency in English;
- Ability to present technical functionality
