Job description:

Contractor's site manager 

Site Managers work on construction sites to ensure that a project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The site manager is the Contractor's representative on site. He is the contact person on the construction site for the trades for which the Contractor is responsible, including the provisions to be taken into account by the order, as well as the contact person for the Client's construction inspector.

Requirements for candidates:

• Master craftsman or technician in electrical engineering (for work in the substation area)
• Appointed electrical specialist according to VDE 0150-100
• Driving license class B/3
• Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods of time and willingness to work throughout Germany and, if necessary, on temporary assignments abroad
• Reliability, decision-making ability, results orientation, organizational skills, good time management, quality orientation, assertiveness, as well as customer orientation and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English

RCM Engineering Energy Services offers diverse multi-disciplined solutions for energy infrastructure challenges for utility owners, independent power providers, commercial, and industrial clients. Our energy programs include Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) or Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contracts (or turnkey construction contracts) for your complex electrical infrastructure projects.

This contract flexibility clarifies the relationship between the owner and RCM Technologies for the desired professional or technical services. This offers the owner the ability to execute EPC projects within budget and on schedule minimizing construction delays due to lagging information, material or equipment. We also track progress and maintain contingency plans to stay on schedule and document project progress in terms of installed quantities.

RCM Engineering utilizes key responsibility matrices and software to track progress status and interferences between construction efforts. Use of 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost tracking significantly reduce scope “creep” by enhancing the ability to track progress and costs in real-time.

Our full staff of engineering professionals streamline the engineering process by performing the Quality Assurance reviews and constructability in parallel to allow for a swifter turnaround and issuance of construction work packages to the field.

In the energy service division, we build and refurbish substations and grid stabilization plants up to 400 kV in Germany. For both gas-insulated and air-insulated substation projects, our project management team is accompanied by site managers from our team from groundbreaking to commissioning. Our customers are the major transmission and distribution grid operators in Germany, but also industrial customers.
