Sports Content Specialist

Role Summary:

A Sports Content Specialist is responsible for shaping and delivering engaging, data-informed sports content across digital platforms. The role focuses on aligning content with audience interests and business goals, ensuring consistency in tone and quality while leveraging insights to drive performance. It also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance content visibility, user engagement and overall platform experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create, manage and publish engaging sports content, including event previews, match reports, analysis and blog articles.
• Develop and execute content strategies to increase user engagement and audience retention.
• Monitor sports trends, leagues, tournaments, teams and athletes to deliver timely and relevant content.
• Manage and update sports content across the company website, mobile applications and social media platforms.
• Publish live news, match results, statistics and event updates in real time during sporting events.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop promotional content and campaigns related to sports events.
• Work closely with SEO and Analytics teams to optimize content for search engines and improve organic traffic and performance.
• Analyze user engagement and audience behavior to continuously improve content strategy and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with the IT team to ensure the accurate technical implementation and maintenance of digital content.
• Maintain a consistent editorial tone, style and quality across all sports content while ensuring accuracy, relevance and audience appeal.

Qualifications:

• Completed secondary education lasting 3 or 4 years in Economics, Law, Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in the same or similar roles.
• Advanced computer skills; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop will be considered an advantage.
• Advanced command of the English language.
