Tax Specialist

Summary

Proximus is seeking a Tax Specialist to join our dynamic tax team with good knowledge of both corporate income taxes and indirect taxes, to support the mainly Belgian based group tax team in different tax domains. The role is based in a hybrid work environment, with on-site presence required 2 times per week.

Responsibilities

• You assist with corporate income tax compliance and tax reporting for the Group.
• You provide support with respect to indirect tax advisory.
• You assist with the preparation of transfer pricing (master file / local file / CBCR) documentation.
• You provide support on tax audits and litigations across various taxes.
• You assist with reaching upfront tax agreements and rulings.

Your Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in economics/accounting, ideally with a specialization in (international) tax law.
• You have minimum 5 years of experience in a Big4; or in-house tax for a multinational company.
• You have knowledge in both corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
• You understand international tax aspects including country tax regimes relevant for a multinational company, withholding taxes, treaty law, OECD initiatives (incl. Pilar II) and EU law.
• You have basic knowledge of other tax regimes (non-Serbian, Belgian, Indian, US)(not mandatory, but would be a plus).
• You are self-starter, autonomous and problem solver.
• You are eager to learn.
• You are proactive and reliable team player.
• You have excellent knowledge of English.
• You have good communication skills in writing and orally.
• You are an analytical type
• You have excellent knowledge of MS tools.
• You are available for short (up to two weeks) business trips outside of Serbia (mainly Belgium).
