Test and Compliance Engineer (R&D)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Test and Compliance Engineer to join our R&D team and lead the development of our in-house testing capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of product tests to ensure compliance with European and international standards while supporting the development of high-quality industrial automation products

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and develop the company's in-house testing laboratory
• Define, select, and commission testing equipment and systems
• Plan and execute product testing, including:
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
• Climatic and environmental testing
• Mechanical testing (vibration, shock, transportation)
• Electrical safety testing
• Functional and reliability testing

• Develop and improve testing methods, procedures, and documentation
• Prepare test protocols, reports, and technical conclusions
• Coordinate testing activities with accredited external laboratories
• Support product certification processes and ensure compliance with IEC, ISO, CE, RoHS, WEEE, and other applicable standards
• Analyze test results and collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality teams on product improvements
• Monitor changes in testing standards and regulations
• Provide guidance and training on testing processes and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in testing electronic or industrial automation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of EMC, climatic, mechanical, and electrical testing
• Experience with international standards such as IEC and ISO
• Hands-on experience with measurement and testing equipment, calibration, and laboratory practices
• Experience preparing test methods, protocols, and technical reports
• Ability to work with external certification bodies and testing laboratories
• English proficiency (minimum B2) for technical documentation and business communication
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive mindset, and excellent teamwork

Nice to Have

• Experience in setting up or managing a testing laboratory.
• Knowledge of CE marking, RoHS, WEEE, and related European directives
