Test Engineer

General role:

Test Engineer is responsible for defining and maintaining the testing flow for products production lines, ensuring reliability of test systems, troubleshooting test-related issues and preparing the required technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Manages test systems including test programs and equipment, and to follow ups their work reliability in production lines;
• Defines test parameters and limits;
• Confirms and optimizes test cycle time;
• Develops, manages and maintains the functionality of the ICT units and EOL (End of Line) tester;
• Launches and maintains test equipment in production;
• Maintains test program in Production;
• Validates and approves test systems for the production line and signs the Acceptance Protocol;
• Participates in the industrialization and implementation of new test equipment;
• Updates and maintains the measurement and test results database;
• Uses the SPC methods for analysis of measurement and test results;
• Performs test failure analysis and supports root cause identification and corrective actions;
• Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of test equipment;
• Provides technical support in case of unexpected test equipment failures and production issues;
• Participates in the creation and update of work instructions and technical documentation;
• Participates in the training of production operators;

 Qualifications:

• University degree (MSc, BSc) preferable Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive electronics industry, preferably in production testing or test engineering;
• Expertise on Electronics and Mechanical Technology;
• Experience of Test Equipment preventive maintenance;
• Good technical knowledge of electronic measurement principles, including measurement methods, measurement devices and their relevant parameters;
• Ability to read and understand Electrical / Electronic Schematic;
• Experience in debug equipment software is an advantage;
• Knowledge and practical experience with at least one of the following programming languages or development environments - C, C ++, C #, VB.NET, LabVIEW, CVI;
• Knowledge of databases and experience working with test data;
• Knowledge and skills for statistical process and quality control methods;
• Ability to program ICT (In-circuit Test), EOL (End of Line) Tester;
• MES knowledge is an advantage;
• Knowledge of TS, IATF16949 & VDA 6.3 is an advantage;
• Computer knowledge – especially Microsoft Office package;
• Intermediate or higher level of English is preferred.
