Trade Compliance Specialist (Maternity Cover)

Tasks

• Acts in accordance with company policies, budgets and business plans
• Conducts audits and risk assessments at the MRO location in Serbia
• Conducts export/import compliance training/awareness raising on site
• Communicates with related business units abroad to streamline export and import processes
• Communicates effectively with multiple functional areas, including management, supply chain, distribution, engineering, finance, IT, and legal.
• Maintains close liaison and effective communication with internal and external parties, as well as the trade compliance team at MTU Munich
• Maintains documentation of policies, procedures and processes for export/import operations on site
• Provides a trade compliance overview
• Oversees local government licensing and timely reporting
• Ensures full compliance with export/import laws in the context of MTU operations in the region, including preparation and submission of documentation, obtaining licenses/registrations, maintaining legal records, etc.
• Ensures that proposed transactions are reviewed for Rejected Persons and Entities, restricted end use, and diversion.
• Monitors changes in rules and procedures and informs key stakeholders

Requirements

• University degree in the field of management/economics
• 0-2 years of work in customs operations and establishing a free trade zone in aerospace or automotive industry (Domestic Processing, FTZ Record Keeping) and Export Control
• MS Office, Excel, Access, SAP or similar
• Good organization, analytical and presentation skills and ability to work in a team
• English language (written and fluent oral communication)
