U.S. Trucking Dispatcher - Remote

U.S. TRUCKING DISPATCHER – 100% REMOTE

LR Logistics, a U.S.-based trucking company, is looking for an experienced U.S. Trucking Dispatcher to join our team for a long-term remote position.

This is NOT an entry-level position. Previous experience dispatching trucks in the U.S. freight market is required.

WORK SCHEDULE
Monday–Friday
7:00 AM–5:00 PM U.S. Central Time (Chicago time)

Candidates must be able to consistently work the full scheduled shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispatch and manage assigned trucks
• Find and book profitable freight
• Negotiate rates directly with brokers
• Plan trucks ahead and maintain strong pre-booking
• Minimize unnecessary deadhead
• Monitor revenue, RPM, miles, and truck utilization
• Plan loads around driver Hours of Service (HOS)
• Communicate professionally with drivers, brokers, and customers
• Track loads from pickup through delivery
• Proactively handle delays, detention, layovers, TONUs, and other issues
• Maintain accurate information in our TMS
• Stay responsive and communicate throughout the entire shift

TRUCK RESPONSIBILITY & GROWTH

• New dispatchers will typically begin by managing approximately 2 trucks while learning LR Logistics' systems, drivers, procedures, and expectations.
• As you demonstrate strong performance and the ability to work independently, you can progress to managing approximately 4–7 trucks.
• Additional responsibility is earned through demonstrated performance.

• Overall truck performance

COMPENSATION

• Starting salary: $1,200–$1,600 USD per month, depending on previous U.S. trucking dispatch experience and demonstrated ability.
• As you successfully take responsibility for additional trucks and consistently produce strong results, your compensation can increase with your responsibilities and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous U.S. trucking dispatch experience
• Experience with 53' dry van freight preferred
• Strong spoken and written English
• Experience using DAT and/or Truckstop
• Strong broker rate-negotiation skills
• Understanding of RPM, deadhead, HOS, and trip planning
• Knowledge of U.S. geography and major freight markets
• Ability to manage multiple trucks and priorities simultaneously
• Reliable high-speed internet
• Dependable backup internet connection or hotspot
• Reliable computer/workstation and headset
• Professional home workspace
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and remain responsive throughout the entire shift
• Experience with Alvys TMS is a plus.
