Video Editor (Youtube)

We are currently seeking an experienced Video Editor to join our team in support of our London-based partner company, Grooms Standard.

Grooms Standard is a luxury menswear brand creating products designed for immediate comfort, beauty, and heirloom quality, including shoes, jackets, and handcrafted leather goods such as bags and wallets. The company plans to start pre-sales in October and begin shipping products by December 2026, and this person will play an important role in building the brand’s content as it prepares for launch. 

As a Video Editor, you will work directly with the company’s founder and cinematographer across YouTube and short-form and long-form content for both the founder’s personal brand and the company. All editing will be done in DaVinci Resolve Studio, using Blackmagic Cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Edit YouTube videos with strong story arcs, substantial B-roll, and occasional motion graphics
• Edit short-form content for YouTube Shorts
• Turn talking-head footage, product footage, and B-roll into engaging, story-driven content
• Edit documentary-style content while maintaining a luxury, restrained aesthetic
• Create engaging educational content using graphics, animation, B-roll, and pacing
• Source relevant B-roll where required
• Maintain consistent colour, sound, pacing, and visual standards across content
• Develop a strong understanding of the brand's visual language and apply it independently
• Collaborate through Blackmagic Cloud
• Help turn product filmmaking into multiple YouTube, short-form, and advertising assets

Qualifications: 

• Advanced knowledge of DaVinci Resolve Studio - must have
• Proven experience editing YouTube-native content
• Proven experience editing short-form content
• Strong storytelling and pacing instincts
• Experience editing talking-head content with substantial B-roll
• Strong understanding of YouTube audience retention
• Experience with documentary or educational storytelling
• Strong visual taste and attention to detail
• Ability to balance a luxury aesthetic with modern, internet-native editing
• Strong colour grading and audio-editing skills
• Experience with motion graphics and basic animation
• Ability to work independently and take creative direction
• Excellent communication and reliability
