Warehouse Manager

For our warehouse operation in Zrenjanin, Serbia, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager who will take overall responsibility for warehouse operations, lead the warehouse team and play a key role in stabilising and further developing our logistics processes.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who understands warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, knows how to work with people, processes and data, and is ready to take ownership of operational performance.

What will you be responsible for?

• Managing and coordinating the overall warehouse operation, including raw materials, packaging, semi-finished goods and finished products.
• Ensuring smooth daily warehouse flows – receiving, putaway, internal movements, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, loading, dispatch and returns.
• Managing the interface between warehouse and production and ensuring clear priorities, responsibilities and material availability.
• Setting, implementing and maintaining warehouse procedures, work instructions and operational standards.
• Ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy and traceability in WMS/ERP.
• Managing cycle counts and stocktakes, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Leading, motivating and developing the warehouse team, including onboarding, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Planning shifts and workforce capacity according to operational volumes, production requirements and peak periods.
• Building a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with HSE, fire safety requirements, internal standards and relevant Serbian legislation.
• Ensuring proper use of WMS/ERP systems, RF scanning and warehouse data and cooperating with IT on system improvements.
• Monitoring and reporting warehouse KPIs related to productivity, inventory accuracy, picking quality, dispatch readiness, capacity utilisation and safety.
• Identifying and implementing operational improvements in areas such as warehouse layout, slotting, material flow, work standardisation and 5S.
• Managing operational incidents, capacity constraints, quality issues and system-related risks and ensuring timely escalation.
• Cooperating closely with production, planning, procurement, transport, customer service and other internal departments.
• Coordinating external partners, including transport providers and potentially 3PL providers.
• Managing warehouse costs and identifying opportunities for savings while maintaining required service, quality and safety standards.

What do we expect from you?

• At least 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including previous experience in a leadership role.
• Experience from a manufacturing logistics environment is a strong advantage.
• Practical knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with WMS/ERP systems, ideally including RF scanning and system-based inventory management.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to organise, motivate and develop a warehouse team.
• Ability to set standards, follow up on performance and take responsibility for results.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, including workforce and shift planning.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Strong orientation towards KPIs, quality, safety and customer service.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting.
• Secondary or university education, preferably in logistics, technical or economic field.
• Serbian and English language skills – English will be used for reporting and regular communication with international colleagues and regional/HQ teams.
• Flexibility during peak periods, stocktakes and other operational requirements.
