Warehouse Shift Leader

For our newly established warehouse operation in Zrenjanin, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Shift Leader who will take responsibility for the smooth daily operation of the warehouse and lead the assigned warehouse team.

What will you be responsible for?

• Organising daily shift activities according to operational priorities and customer requirements.
• Leading and coordinating warehouse employees and allocating resources across inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound activities.
• Coordinating the complete warehouse flow – from receipt of goods through storage and picking to consolidation and outbound loading.
• Ensuring smooth shift handovers and clear communication of priorities, open tasks and operational issues.
• Acting as the main operational contact for the customer during the shift, including daily communication in English.
• Working with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensuring that system records correspond with the physical warehouse situation.
• Monitoring inbound and outbound readiness and proactively escalating risks, delays or operational issues.
• Monitoring inventory movements and supporting cycle counts, stock checks and investigation of discrepancies.
• Organising urgent orders and specific customer requirements according to approved processes.
• Ensuring loading readiness, shipment documentation and handover information are complete before goods leave the warehouse.
• Preparing daily operational reports covering volumes, inbound/outbound status, incidents, backlog, inventory issues and open actions.
• Taking corrective actions when agreed KPIs, procedures, safety requirements or customer instructions are not met.
• Ensuring compliance with warehouse procedures, 5S principles, quality standards and occupational health & safety requirements.
• Monitoring employee training, competence and multifunctionality and identifying further development needs.
• Cooperating closely with the Warehouse Manager, Process Engineer, IT support, customer representatives and other internal departments.

What do we expect from you?

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, ideally in a team leader, shift leader or similar supervisory role.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with WMS systems and operational reporting.
• Ability to organise and coordinate people and daily warehouse activities.
• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented and responsible approach.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities and react quickly to operational changes.
• English at a communicative level – daily communication with the customer and international colleagues is part of the role.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety, quality and operational standards.
