Job Description
The Junior Compliance Specialist as a member of the Risk and Compliance Department is responsible for reviewing documents in order to perform the best possible risk assessment of clients according to established policies and procedures and applicable legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Performing the due diligence on new clients, requesting KYC information, documentation, review, and verification of received documentation
- Periodically evaluate existing clients according to established policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with relevant internal and external parties to obtain KYC documents
- Accurately capturing and recording relevant AML/KYC data on an ongoing basis and maintaining the AML/KYC data and documentation
- Ensuring that all completed AML/KYC documentation is properly filed, stored and retrievable
- Ensure that documentation meets internal policy and guidelines on customer data
- Prioritize urgent and sensitive requests accordingly
- Escalates all prohibited clients, whose activity / transactions gives rise for reasonable suspicion of money laundering or other criminal activity to the Head of Department to facilitate a potential account closure or relationship termination
- Draft and deliver Compliance Review reports
- Investigating high risk clients and reporting where necessary, including Politically Exposed Persons, and obtaining all necessary documentation to complete clients’ file
Requirements:
- Strong attention to details, analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Documentation and process flow oriented
- Excellent English skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience in the financial or gaming field is desirable
