Procurement Systems Manager

AMETEK, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual sales of approximately $6Bn. AMETEK operates in a decentralized operating structure where the business units have autonomy to make decisions to maximize their independent P&L’s.  These Business Units are grouped together into Divisions by common product solutions and the Divisions are grouped into Operating Groups led by Group Presidents who report directly to the CEO.  AMETEK Corporate provides support to this structure as well as leveraging common practices where applicable.  Corporate Procurement identifies synergies to leverage AMETEK’s buying power with suppliers across multiple locations.

To maximize the potential across Direct & Indirect, AMETEK has invested in several analytical and reporting systems.  These include spend and savings reporting that takes data from across AMETEK and provide reports and tools for many parts of the company to use. These include 3rd party applications (Qlik, PowerBI) and Excel based solutions.

The Procurement Systems Manager will manage, develop and enhance these tools. The Procurement Systems Manager will collaborate both internally and externally to support the overall success of our procurement reporting systems. This includes requirement specification, implementation, training, testing, end-user support, etc.

Position Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Lead the functional ownership for ProcureView/Qlik:
• Ensure system is meeting the needs of the business
•  Develop the roadmap for enhancements and extensions into plans and actions
• Work closely with Qlik technical expert(s) on all aspects of system design
• Work with all AMETEK Divisions, BU’s and sites to ensure data integration is happening as expected, and exceptions are acted upon
• Project management of all stakeholders (IT, Qlik, Divisions, Business Units)
• Business Unit master data validation (Supplier mapping, Commodity Code mapping, Payment Term mapping)
• Supporting functional and User Acceptance testing
• Running internal update meetings

• Develop tools for use in GSO, COE & Corporate Reporting
• Working with PowerBI expert, develop reporting tools
• Examples – GSO RFQ tracking dashboard; COE inquiry tracking; Blomberg price index dashboard
• Work with Corporate colleagues to define new opportunities, design solutions and implement
• Spend and Savings Reporting
• Working with Procurement Director, prepare quarterly reporting of spend and savings for Material and VA/VE
• Taking data from all AMETEK Divisions, combining and analyzing
• Develop ways to automate and streamline reporting
• SAP Ariba
• For the RFQ elements of the SAP Ariba system, assist with data and system management
• Work with Indirect Ariba team on synergies and integration

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in working with, and preferably managing, Procurement or Supply Chain or Financial systems
• Experience with data management and process mapping
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaboration experience within a global or multi-site environment and proven ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment
• English language (written and verbal) – essential
