Financial Control is a Novi Sad-based bookkeeping and accounting outsourcing company serving Australian small and medium businesses. We provide comprehensive bookkeeping, accounting, and financial support to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team and manage a portfolio of international clients.

Responsibilities

Process invoices, track payments, and manage expenses
Maintain general ledger and balance sheets
Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
Prepare and review GST/VAT (PDV), BAS/IAS, and other compliance reports under Australian standards
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare and review revenue recognition and deferred income transactions
Communicate with clients, auditors, and internal teams
Use Xero and Excel daily to maintain accurate records
Support process improvements and automation initiatives

Requirements

3–5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
Advanced English skills (spoken and written)
Proficiency in Xero (MYOB or QuickBooks a plus)
Understanding of revenue recognition and deferred income
Strong Excel and IT skills
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience working with international or Australian clients preferred
Flexible, proactive, and detail-oriented
Working hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Serbian time)
