JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Specialist to operate with general accounting functions.  

This role involves payment, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with national accounting standards, and reconciling ledger accounts. 

You will play a crucial role in maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and in supporting budgeting and forecasting through your expertise

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of daily accounting operations: processing, verification, and monitoring of incoming and outgoing payments, as well as monthly and annual closing of the books
• Posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, bank statements, and other financial documentation
• Document control and compliance with legal regulations
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports
• Calculation of VAT, taxes, and employee payroll
• Preparation and submission of tax returns and reports
• Cooperation with the Tax Administration, the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR), banks, and external associates
• Preparation of documentation for the final account and year-end closing
• Maintenance of employee records (registrations, deregistrations, salaries, and benefits)
• Processing payments and monitoring liabilities and receivables
• Improvement of accounting and financial processes, internal controls, and documentation, as well as optimization of tax aspects to ensure greater accuracy and efficiency
• Proposing and implementing measures to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• More than 4 years of work experience in finance or accounting
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Profound knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial compliance
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
