Accounts Payable Team Lead

Job title: Accounts Payable Team Lead (Maternity cover FTC for 9 months)

Office location: Serbia with Hybrid working (3 days in the office)

About the role and the Team:

Ensuring the purchase ledger records are kept up to date so the Finance team can produce accurate and timely financial information for lenders, board, auditors and other stakeholders.  Ensuring all payment runs are promptly and accurately processed. Contributing to the development of the AP function by proposing and helping deliver improvement. Ability to lead a small team and resolve issues effectively, process high volumes of supplier invoices quickly and accurately, ensure financial controls are maintained and suppliers are paid on time, and respond to supplier and colleague queries promptly and professionally with accurate information and advice.

What will you be doing?

• Support the Accounts Payable function and perform AP duties described below when required
• Process UK & Serbian invoices and credit notes into accounting software (SAP)
• Process invoices in SAP
• Knowledge of Purchase to Pay process
• Match supplier's invoices to approved orders
• Process all purchases (supplier invoices) and credit notes in SAP
• Coordinate weekly unapproved invoice meetings by dept
• Generate and submit weekly payment lists
• Ensure all bank checks are completed in line with policy
• Perform month end duties as agreed with line manager
• Assist with preparing the monthly pack sent to the accountants in Serbia
• Assist and help drive performance improvement initiatives

What we are looking for:

• University degree – Faculty of Economics
• Preferable 1+ years of Accounts Payable / bookkeeping experience
• Very good written and verbal English communication skills
• Formal/Informal managerial experience
• Very good Microsoft Excel skills, Vlookup, Pivot, SUMIF, CONCATENATE
• Good attention to detail
