Automotive Project Manager

The Automotive Business Unit focuses on delivering production-grade embedded and system software for the automotive industry, spanning mixed-criticality platforms, in-vehicle infotainment and instrument clusters, and body control units. It supports OEMs and Tier-1s with end-to-end solutions, covering architecture and platform bring-up, middleware and platform integration, safety feature development, lifecycle management, and the creation of scalable foundations for software-defined vehicles. As part of this unit, teams develop the framework for Continuous Everything (CX), including engineering tools and processes, and actively contribute to open-source automotive initiatives.

Your role would include:

Planning, execution, and overseeing multiple Automotive embedded software projects, ensuring on-time delivery that is within scope and budget, while following quality standards
Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
Identifying project risks early and maintaining a risk register with mitigation and contingency plans
Facilitating regular project meetings and status updates with internal teams and external clients
Monitoring scope adherence and managing change requests. Ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed
Tracking project timelines and milestones. Proactively identifying risks and adjusting plans to meet deadlines
Managing budgets by tracking costs, forecasting resource needs, and ensuring financial profitability during project lifecycle
Ensuring quality by aligning development practices with internal QA standards, customer requirements, and compliance protocols. Coordinating test activities, defect tracking, and final validation
Establishing clear communication channels and ensuring alignment between engineering, QA, management, and external stakeholders
Implementing and tracking project performance metrics. Reporting status to stakeholders through regular updates and dashboards
Contributing to internal company PM process development

Requirements:

Academic education in computer technology (BSc or MSc degree)
Senior experience in managing automotive software or embedded systems development projects
Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies and software engineering best practices
Knowledge of the methodology and tools in the field of software engineering (software development process, release management, configuration management, document management, issue tracking, quality assurance, etc.)
Familiarity with automotive standards and frameworks such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434 is highly desirable
Formal education or trainings in the field of project management, and possessions of certificates such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, SCRUM Master are preferred
Experience in MS Office tools, MS Project, web-based project management tools
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
