Chief Accountant

Workforce has partnered with Cargochem (https://cargochem.rs), an international trading company specialized in the distribution of industrial chemicals across Serbia and European markets with focus on Scandinavian market, to support their search for an experienced Chief Accountant. Operating in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment, the company is focused on reliable supply chains, efficient logistics, and strong client partnerships. In this role, you would contribute to financial stability, process optimization, and the company’s further expansion by providing strong accounting leadership and strategic financial support.

Chief Accountant (Belgrade)

Job descrpition:

• Full management of accounting records and general ledger
• Leading the implementation of Pantheon ERP
• Posting incoming invoices, bank statements, travel authorizations etc.
• Calculation of VAT and other applicable taxes
• Independent preparation of daily, periodic, and annual financial reports
• Monitoring of inventory, fixed assets, depreciation, interest, leases, and foreign exchange differences
• Collaboration with auditors and preparation of documentation for financial audits
• Analysis of business results and reporting to management
• Participation in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
• Payroll processing, including sick leave, calculation of per diems, and service agreements
• Leading team of two accountants and one administrative assistant

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Higher education or University degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
• Excellent knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations
• Knowledge of Pantheon ERP
• Proficiency in English
