About the Role:

The CMV Equipment & Maintenance Assistant/Coordinator supports the health, maintenance, and compliance of commercial vehicles in a remote capacity. This position helps ensure trucks and trailers remain safe and operational by coordinating maintenance and repairs, assisting drivers during breakdowns, and maintaining accurate equipment records.

Position outline:

• Maintain accurate records for all CMV equipment, including trucks and trailers
• Track preventive maintenance schedules and service intervals
• Monitor equipment condition, usage, and repair history
• Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance with repair vendors and mobile mechanics
• Respond to breakdown calls and arrange roadside assistance
• Review and approve repair estimates in line with company guidelines
• Receive and document breakdown reports from drivers
• Clearly explain repair timelines and next steps
• Keep drivers informed and calm during breakdown situations
• Educate drivers on basic equipment care and proper reporting procedures
• Build and maintain relationships with trusted repair vendors
• Compare repair estimates and monitor maintenance costs
• Identify recurring issues or underperforming equipment
• Support decisions related to repair versus replacement
• Ensure all maintenance records are accurately updated in the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong task prioritization abilities
• Fluent English communication skills - school-level English is not sufficient; clarity and fluency are essential. Accents and dialects are not considered a disadvantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Excel and Google Drive
• Legal right to work in Serbia without any restrictions
