Customs Operations Specialist

For our client, a major international company and a global leader in logistics, we are looking for motivated candidates for the position of: Customs Operations Specialist.

Job description

• Managing the complete customs clearance process (import/export), including preparation, review, and submission of customs declarations.
• Calculation of customs duties and other charges in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Managing complex and high-value shipments while ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations.
• Communication with clients, suppliers, and service providers for the collection and validation of documentation.
• Cooperation with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitoring legislative changes and analyzing their impact on business operations.
• Conducting internal controls and audits of customs entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identifying and resolving operational challenges within the customs clearance process.
• Preparing and submitting statistical and other reports to competent authorities and clients.
• Updating internal and client systems in accordance with established procedures.
• Participation in internal and external audits.
• Mentoring and providing support to junior team members (for senior level).

Position requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in the same or similar roles.
• Advanced English knowledge.
• IV degree of professional qualification.
• Solid knowledge of customs procedures and regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel - V look up, Pivot tabele).
• Familiarity with Cargowise, MEETS, and Streamliner is a plus.
