Design Operations Lead

ennovationHUB is a fast-growing international e-commerce group operating in the home & living category, with a strong focus on furniture. From our hubs in Belgrade, London, and Barcelona, we sell through localized e-commerce platforms across the UK, North America, Europe and APAC.

We are currently transitioning from a founder-led, high-growth business into a scaled international group, with a clear objective of reaching €100m+ in annual revenue by 2026. What started as a lean, entrepreneurial setup is now evolving into a structured, multi-market organisation - and Design Operations is a critical part of that evolution.

 The role

We are looking for a Design Operations Lead to own execution, flow, and delivery across our design function. This is not a creative role. You will not be responsible for visual direction, taste, or brand decisions. Instead, you will work closely with the Art Director and design team to ensure that great creative work is delivered on time, at scale, and with consistency across markets. Your mission is to remove operational friction so designers can focus on doing their best creative work.

What you will own

As Design Operations Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Design intake and prioritisation across team
• Capacity planning and workload balancing for designers
• Sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking
• Assigning work to designers based on priorities and availability
• Managing timelines, dependencies, and delivery expectations
• Coordinating design execution with marketing, product, and operations teams
• Creating and maintaining clear processes, templates, and workflows
• Identifying bottlenecks and proactively resolving them

You will be the single point of ownership for design execution. To be very clear, this role does not include: Creative direction or brand ownership; Visual or aesthetic decision-making; Final creative sign-off or Art direction or taste judgement. Those responsibilities remain with the Art Director. Your role exists to protect and scale creative quality, not replace it.

• Can balance multiple priorities without losing control of execution
• Communicates clearly and calmly with designers and stakeholders
• Is pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable making decisions
• Understands how creative teams work — and how to support them without micromanaging

• Design teams (web, brand, 3D, visual, or product)
