Development Purchasing Engineer

Position Summary

Minth Automotive Europe is looking for a driven and analytical Development Purchasing Engineer to strengthen our automotive supply chain operations. In this role, you will actively contribute to supplier development, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing initiatives, supporting competitive and sustainable growth across our European operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop competitive supplier resources in line with automotive quality standards.
• Lead annual price negotiations and drive continuous cost improvement initiatives.
• Analyze RFQs and perform structured cost breakdown evaluations (material, labor, tooling, logistics).
• Conduct market analysis to monitor price trends and industry benchmarks.
• Support new project sourcing from nomination to SOP (Start of Production).
• Monitor supplier delivery, cost, and quality performance, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepare and maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, and procurement records.
• Leverage procurement data to support sourcing decisions, savings tracking, and performance improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within automotive or manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Ability to analyze material costs and pricing structures with a structured, data-driven approach.
• Negotiation capability and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of contract law and fundamental financial principles.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/ERP systems.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
• Mandarin language skills are nice to have.
