EHS Specialist

About the job

The EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) position is critical for ensuring compliance and promoting a strong EHS culture within the Plant. This role focuses on developing and implementing EHS programs, delivering training, conducting audits, and supporting sustainability initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop recommendations for improvement.
• Act as an EHS expert for regulatory compliance and implement standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
• Plan and deliver EHS training programs to build awareness and a strong safety culture.
• Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs; propose actions for continuous improvement.
• Investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
• Perform regular EHS audits and inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Collaborate with global and regional EHS teams to align with corporate strategy and share best practices.
• Coordinate with external medical examination institutions and conduct new employee onboarding training.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or a related field along with relevant EHS certifications.
• At least 2-5 years of experience as a site EHS coordinator.
• Relevant experience within the automotive industry would be an asset.
• Fluency in English is a must; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Results-driven individual, teamwork and proactive attitude for seeking innovative solutions.
• Experience in coordinating teams would be an asset.
