For our factory in Nis, we are looking for an Engineer for Continuous System Improvement (CI Engineer).

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an CI Engineer at Vossloh MIN Skretnice in Nis.
The CI Engineer is responsible for identification and implementation of innovations and process optimizations, collaboration with engineering and production teams in the development and implementation of new solutions, monitoring process performance and maintaining records of improvements.

Job Description

• Conduct analyses of production processes and propose improvements
• Train employees in continuous improvement techniques and strategies
• Prepare and submit reports to management on achieved improvements and future plans
• Identify losses - monitor areas with the largest losses and determine root causes to develop solutions that reduce those losses
• Proactively drive improvements - initiate and lead projects to improve operations and processes, including product quality enhancement and reduction of production lead time
• Use continuous improvement tools - apply methods such as Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S, and use F4F applications for collecting and implementing ideas
• Analyze production data to identify patterns and trends related to production efficiency, quality and downtime
• Develop and implement KPIs - establish key performance indicators to measure the success of implemented improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally - work with teams such as engineering, production, maintenance and quality control to ensure successful execution of continuous improvement initiatives
• Support cultural change - act as a catalyst for change within the company, promoting a culture that values efficiency, innovation and continuous learning
• Cooperate with external instructors engaged in continuous improvement activities within our company
• Lead the employee team responsible for the continuous improvement system
• Perform technological elaboration of complex strategic projects in the field of industrialization
• Define production “bottlenecks” and propose solutions
• Based on analyses, provide solutions for rapid increases in the efficiency of specific production processes
• Propose innovations to increase product quality and output in line with existing standards
• Participate in commissioning of new equipment, implementation of new technologies and installation of new production lines, all in accordance with the strategic objectives of industrialization

Requirements

• University degree in the field of Technical Sciences
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in turnout (switch) production or related products
• Proficiency in English
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes specific to the railway and tram industry
• Project management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Understanding and implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
• Ability to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
