Experienced Safety Officer for Trucking Industry

Full-Time | Second Shift Required

We’re currently looking for a motivated and experienced Safety & Claims Officer who can confidently manage safety operations, insurance matters, and claims handling while helping us maintain top industry standards.

Your Role

You will play a key role in protecting the company, our drivers, and our assets by ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and HOS regulations
• Track CSA scores, roadside inspections, violations, and driver tickets
• Maintain and manage Driver Qualification (DQ) files
• Investigate accidents, safety incidents, cargo damage, and property claims
• Handle claims from initial report through resolution
• Communicate with drivers, insurance adjusters, and brokers
• Manage and review company insurance policies (auto liability, cargo, physical damage, etc.)
• Identify safety trends and implement preventive measures
• Prepare safety and claims reports for management

 What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or claims (trucking industry required)
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT regulations, HOS rules, and CSA scores
• Experience working with insurance policies and claims processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Fluent in English
