Fleet Performance & Maintenance Manager (OTR)

We’re looking for an OTR Fleet & Maintenance Manager to oversee fleet operations and maintenance across the United States, ensuring everything runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day fleet activities to maximize efficiency, safety, and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as fuel usage, mileage, and equipment utilization.
• Coordinate driver assignments to ensure on-time deliveries and effective route planning.
• Track ELD data and driver hours of service to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement fleet policies related to safety, maintenance, and communication.
• Manage registrations, permits, IFTA reporting, and insurance documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and lower operating costs.

Maintenance Management:

• Oversee all maintenance operations for a nationwide OTR semi-truck fleet.
• Build and maintain relationships with trusted repair shops, mobile mechanics, and parts vendors across the U.S.
• Negotiate service agreements and pricing to ensure cost-effective maintenance without compromising safety or reliability.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime and avoid DOT violations.
• Establish maintenance schedules and cost-control strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and service history.
• Work closely with drivers and dispatch to resolve equipment issues quickly and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in fleet or truck maintenance management (OTR experience in the U.S. preferred).
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, semi-truck systems, and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Proven ability to balance cost-efficiency with safety and reliability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with fleet management systems and reporting tools.
• Proactive approach to minimizing breakdowns and optimizing performance.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, vendors, and driver communication.
