General Ledger Accountant Specialist
(temporary for 10 months)
Location: Belgrade
You will be performing a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department for entities in Switzerland, Serbia and abroad – jointly responsible for the month / quarterly / year-end closing.
Your responsibilities:
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records into SAP
- Execute month-end closing processes
- Conduct Balance sheets reconciliation, perform Intercompany reconciliation
- Practical experience with VAT regulations, including preparation, submission, and reconciliation in compliance with local legislation
- Check and register Travel expenses for various companies within the Group
- Reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring that all entries are accurately reflected in the general ledger and aligned with cash flow statements.
- Analyze existing key accounts and understand related processes, compile data and prepare a variety of reports
Your profile:
- Education: Batchelor’s degree is a minimum preferable in Finance and Accounting
- Experience: 3 years of work experience in accounting
- Background in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger activities
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Good overall IT literacy
- Experience with SAP
- Additional requirements: Operative/specialized in subject, strong analytical skills
- Technical and Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in Excel (formulas, functions, pivot tables)
- Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, quick learner with adaptability to new tools and processes, high level of self-knowledge, self-control, and self-discipline, specialized and proactive in accounting-related tasks
