The Role – GIS Specialist

We are seeking a GIS Specialist to join our forward-thinking, experienced team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of geographic information system (GIS) development and implementation, contributing to impactful projects across industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement GIS solutions for diverse clients and projects
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality software solutions
• Support integration of GIS with enterprise systems, databases, and workflows
• Provide technical expertise and consulting to ensure successful project delivery
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the GIS team

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Geoinformatics, Geodesy, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GIS principles, theories, and practices
• General knowledge of databases, data administration, data migration and data design/development best practices
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Knowledge of Enterprise GIS architecture, including the software, hardware, network, security, cloud, and web services is considered as advantage
• Knowledge in ESRI ArcGIS platform is considered as advantage
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python) is considered as advantage
• Ability and strong interest to quickly understand and learn modern IT industry, GIS based technologies, trends, methods, tools and processes and terminology
• Excellent problem-solving skills, sharp and fast thinkers, creative, systematic, organized, team players, a self-starter who is comfortable working alone or within a team
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
