Junior Accountant

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in accordance with legal and company accounting guidelines
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial data as assigned
• Maintain and update financial data in accounting systems and databases to ensure accuracy and availability of information
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports
• Support senior accountants during monthly and yearly closing processes
• Assist with various accounting projects and ad hoc tasks

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to organize and maintain financial documentation efficiently
• Interest in finance and accounting processes
• Experience with or willingness to learn accounting software and new computer systems
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Team-oriented, proactive, and responsible attitude
