About the Role
We are looking for a strong, execution-focused Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our bonded warehouse in Switzerland.
This is not a local warehouse role and not a coordination-only position.
You will be based in our Belgrade office, while taking operational responsibility for the performance of our Swiss warehouse, including people management, inventory control, order fulfillment, and coordination with logistics and customs partners.
You are responsible for how the warehouse performs operationally.
If something is delayed — you take action.
If inventory does not match — you investigate and fix it.
If processes are inefficient — you improve them.
Your Mission
Your mission is to ensure that our Swiss bonded warehouse operates efficiently, accurately, and reliably, supporting B2C shipments across Europe.
You will focus on execution, process control, people management, and performance, while working remotely from Serbia and being regularly present on-site in Switzerland.
Customs clearance and legal compliance are handled in coordination with licensed external partners — your role is to ensure operational discipline and results.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Operations Management
- Operational oversight of the bonded warehouse in Switzerland
- Daily control of:
- Inventory accuracy
- Picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Returns and damaged goods handling
- Monitor and improve warehouse workflows and efficiency
- Define, document, and enforce warehouse SOPs
- Ensure fast and error-free B2C order fulfillment
People Management
- Direct management of warehouse staff in Switzerland
- Task allocation, performance monitoring, and accountability
- On-site supervision and process control (minimum 2 visits per month)
- Training and enforcement of operational standards
Bonded Warehouse & Compliance (Operational Side)
- Ensure correct operational handling of:
- Bonded inventory
- Customs-controlled goods
- Tobacco products
- Work closely with:
- Swiss customs brokers
- Warehouse operators
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and audit readiness
(Legal and customs procedures are handled by licensed partners.)
Logistics & Shipping Partners
- Coordinate and manage relationships with:
- Courier companies
- Logistics and fulfillment partners
- Participate in negotiations of pricing, SLAs, and service levels
- Optimize shipping costs, delivery times, and service quality
Reporting & Coordination
- Regular reporting to Head of Operations / CEO
- KPI tracking and reporting:
- Shipping speed
- Error rates
- Inventory discrepancies
- Cost per shipment
- Close coordination with:
- Sales
- Customer Service
- Finance
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a dispatcher role
- Not a paperwork-only logistics position
- Not a local Swiss warehouse employee
- Not a passive coordination role
This is an operations ownership role focused on execution and performance.
Required Experience & Skills
Must-Have
- 4–6+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
- Proven people management experience
- Strong execution and ownership mindset
- Experience with B2C or high-volume order fulfillment
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Switzerland
Strong Advantage (but not mandatory)
- Experience with bonded warehouses or customs-controlled inventory
- Experience with regulated products (tobacco, alcohol, pharma, luxury goods)
- Experience negotiating with logistics or courier partners
- Understanding of EU logistics flows
