We are looking for: M&S SysOps Engineer

Join us as a SysOps Engineer within our Mechatronic and Simulation domain, supporting a Tier-1 global leader in the automotive industry. This isn't just a maintenance role; you will bridge the gap between advanced IT infrastructure and automotive engineering. You will be responsible for the high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems that power the next generation of vehicle simulation and design.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure using GitOps principles. You will automate application provisioning to ensure seamless delivery for new projects in the pipeline.
• Production Reliability & Performance: Own the health of the production environment. This includes fine-tuning cloud services for peak performance, cost-efficiency, and ensuring 24/7 application availability.
• Monitoring & Observability: Design and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies. You’ll set thresholds, alerts, and build ETL-backed dashboards to visualize system health and license consumption.
• Resilience & Continuity: Lead the design and execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures and failover solutions to ensure zero-impact business continuity.
• System Optimization: Conduct deep-dive revisions of existing solutions (including POCs). You will fine-tune the integration of core PLM/CAD applications with auxiliary microservices.
• Incident Management: Act as the technical point of escalation for system outages, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues rapidly and minimize impact on engineering productivity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Drive technical alignment in project setup meetings, translating business requirements into robust system configurations.

About you

• Cloud Expert: 3+ years of professional SysOps experience, with a heavy focus on AWS environment management.
• OS Specialist: Deep hands-on experience in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration (installation, hardening, and monitoring).
• Automation Mindset: Proficient in scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and version control (Git) to drive "manual-work-as-a-bug" philosophies.
• AI Enthusiast: A strong willingness to learn and implement AI/ML tools within the operations space (AIOps). You are excited about using data science to solve traditional infrastructure problems.
• Problem Solver: A natural curiosity for investigating unknown system behaviors and a drive to improve legacy implementations.
• Communicator: Strong English skills (written and spoken) and the ability to manage complex project schedules.

It would be a plus to have

• AWS Certification (AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate or similar).
• Specific experience with PLM or CAD infrastructure (CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, or similar).
• Knowledge of distributed data replication and complex license server management.
• Background in ETL processes for backend data visualization.
