Network and System Management Specialist

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

• Remote pro- and re-active management of complex Cisco Unified Communication and Video Conferencing infrastructures. Do day to day activities on the internal infrastructure for the hardware and software to secure the availability of the Customer infrastructure.
• Monitor the notification and ticket queue screens
• React on 1st level incoming notifications
• Handle incoming tickets

  • II. Network (management) support
  • III. System and OS support

• Perform the daily housekeeping tasks (EOD procedures etc.)
• Answer incoming phone (support request) calls
• Perform remote administration, monitoring and problem resolution
• Release Management
• Remote configuration changes
• Remote minor upgrades and path installations
• Engage Vendor TAC for unsolvable incidents
• Update instructions and request process changes is required
• Update Knowledge article database
• Kick-off Management notification/escalation process
• Carry out hand-over procedures to next shift
• Keep increasing knowledge

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant working experience
• Fluent in German and advanced in English
• Technical degree in Computer science or higher level of IT knowledge
• Networking Technique’s (minimum CCNA Voice working to CCNP Voice)
• MS-Office 2000 – 2013 (Outlook, Word, Excel) for d-creating and maintaining documentation
• Troubleshooting skills capability
