Position Overview – Process Development Engineer

LMB Soft is looking for a proactive and technically strong Process Development Engineer who will play a key role in developing, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes.

This is a newly created function within the company, offering a unique opportunity to independently establish and build the entire process engineering framework — including methodologies, standards, documentation structure, and cross-departmental communication.

The role serves as a critical link between R&D and Production, ensuring that products are designed and industrialized in a way that enables efficient, reliable, and consistent manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and developing the process engineering function, including structure, workflows, and methodologies
  • Developing new manufacturing processes for new products and components
  • Analyzing existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, quality deviations, and cost drivers
  • Proposing and implementing improvements to reduce cycle time, minimize waste, and increase process stability
  • Actively participating in early product development phases to ensure manufacturability
  • Supporting prototype builds and pilot production
  • Collaborating closely with R&D, Technology, Production, and Assembly teams
  • Defining requirements for new tools, machines, and production equipment
  • Participating in installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment
  • Improving existing machines and tools (e.g. welding machines, assembly stations)
  • Monitoring and analyzing key process indicators (cycle time, utilization, scrap, downtime)
  • Initiating and leading continuous improvement activities
  • Preparing technical analyses, reports, and recommendations for management
  • Creating and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and process flow diagrams

Qualifications and Competencies

Professional Requirements:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in process engineering, production engineering, or manufacturing
  • Experience in assembly processes, precision mechanics, electronics, plastics, or automation is a strong advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assemblies, and tolerances
  • Data analysis skills (Excel or similar tools)
  • Basic CAD knowledge (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM) is an advantage

Soft Skills:

  • High level of proactivity and ownership mindset
  • Ability to build processes and structures from scratch
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  • Well-organized, systematic, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to build and shape a completely new function within LMB Soft
  • Direct impact on production efficiency, quality, and process stability
  • Dynamic and supportive work environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and additional technical training
  • Stable employment in a growing medical technology sector
  • Work in an international environment with continuous collaboration across Group companies

Join us and become part of a team that is shaping the future of medical technology through robust, efficient, and well-engineered manufacturing processes.
