We are looking for:

Process Engineer Plating and Chemical Laboratory who will be responsible for planning of operations, work sequences and production tools according to valid regulations.

Tasks

• Create, release, and continuously update work documentation (work plans, operation sheets, process standards) in accordance with approved repair schemes and engineering documentation.
• Ensure all documentation is accurately published and maintained in relevant systems and fully accessible to the shop floor.
• Incorporate rework steps, variants, and alternative operations into documentation to ensure flexibility and efficiency.
• Propose and initiate documentation updates based on shop feedback or issue resolution findings.
• Design and optimize routing and operation sequences to reduce lead time and ensure smooth part flow across the shop floor.
• Lead work planning activities during industrialization of new parts, including specification and procurement of tooling, fixtures, and consumables.
• Evaluate the industrialization of new repairs, process methods, and product lines in terms of technical requirements and business case feasibility.
• Act as the primary engineering contact for resolving shop floor technical issues related to process execution, tooling, documentation, or deviations.
• Maintain and update a log of open issues, action items, and resolution status, ensuring timely closure in coordination with the Process Specialist.
• Cooperate with Maintenance and Operations to ensure equipment readiness and alignment with engineering requirements.
• Continuously monitor process performance indicators (scrap rate, rework rate, first-pass yield) and proactively react to deviations.
• Prepare and support First Article Inspection (FAI) and process Tryouts, adapting work plans and times based on results.
• Analyse and improve standard execution times, initiating optimization projects where needed.
• Perform deviation analyses, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive cost savings and quality improvements.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate process trials, including NC program preparation in compliance with regulations.
• Provide technical input for tooling, consumables, and process parameters to ensure robust production processes.
• Ensure compliance with ergonomic, production, business, and aviation regulations across all planned operations.
• Support internal and external audits, track corrective actions, and ensure proper execution.
• Participate in business case calculations for investments and operational planning.

Requirements

• University degree
• Several years of experience in chemical production, galvanization or laboratory desired
• Work in accordance with good laboratory practice
• High reliability, methodical processing, independent calculations, communication skills
• Organizational skills, mental toughness, ability to methodically and sustainably solve problems
• MS Office, desired SAP
• English language - good written and fluent oral communication
