Production Manager

We are looking for a results-driven Production Manager to lead end-to-end production operations in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role carries full accountability for production performance, ensuring delivery of customer demand in the most efficient way, with a zero-defect mindset. The position requires a strong shopfloor leader with daily gemba presence, capable of driving discipline, solving problems at root cause, and building a high-performance organization.

• Production (Shift Leaders / Operators)
• Maintenance (equipment reliability and uptime)
• Production Planning and Capacity execution

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Operational Execution and Performance

• Ensure on-time delivery in line with customer demand and production plan
• Drive Overall Labor Efficiency through optimal workforce allocation and productivity improvements
• Achieve and sustain SMD OEE targets through systematic loss elimination
• Control and reduce scrap, rework, and quality rejects through right-first-time execution
• Maintain strict control of WIP, cycle times, and throughput 

2. Equipment and Maintenance Ownership

• Take full accountability for equipment uptime, performance, and reliability
• Ensure a robust preventive maintenance system with high PM compliance
• Eliminate chronic breakdowns through root cause problem solving (QRQC / 8D)
• Drive continuous improvement of MTBF and MTTR
• Ensure readiness of all critical equipment (SMD, AOI, ICT, EOL, etc.) 

3. Production Planning and Capacity Management

• Ensure realistic and executable production plans aligned with capacity
• Identify and manage bottlenecks proactively
• Drive capacity optimization and line balancing
• Support business growth through scalable and flexible production setup 

4. Quality and Right-First-Time Mindset

• Deploy and enforce zero-defect and right-first-time culture
• Ensure strict adherence to process discipline and standards
• Partner with Quality to reduce Cost of Non-Quality
• Ensure immediate containment and structured problem solving for deviations 4

5. Cost and Efficiency Management

• Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives
• Control overtime, inefficiencies, and hidden losses
• Deliver productivity improvements aligned with business targets  

6. Leadership and Organization Development

• Lead, coach, and develop Shift Leaders and operational teams
• Build a performance-driven culture with clear accountability
• Ensure strong gemba presence and daily management routines
• Enforce discipline in 5S, safety, and operational standards 

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Process Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams
• Support fast and effective issue resolution across functions

Required personal and professional skills:

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role (EMS / electronics preferred)
• Proven leadership of production and maintenance teams in a high-volume environment
• Solid understanding of capacity planning, line balancing, and bottleneck management
• Hands-on leader with strong problem-solving mindset (QRQC, 8D, PDCA)
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systems (5S, standard work, waste elimination)
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills with ability to translate data into actions
• Experience in driving cost efficiency, productivity improvements, and labor optimization
• Ability to build discipline, and accountability on the shopfloor
• Strong ownership mindset with focus on execution and results
• Exposure to NPI industrialization and ramp-up into serial production
• Strong leadership and people development skills; ability to coach and develop Shift Leaders
• Resilient under pressure, able to manage operational escalations and customer expectations
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
