Production Planner

Purpose of the Position

The main purpose of this position is to ensure efficient and effective production planning for the assigned site, balancing customer requirements, production capacity, and stock levels while meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining data accuracy.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Translate customer orders and forecasts into daily and weekly production plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet targets and optimize utilization.
• Ensure compliance with technical and technological standards in production.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters such as lot sizes, lead times, and safety stock levels.
• Control and analyze inventory levels according to stock policies and age structure.
• Manage demand planning for materials and traded goods required in production.
• Review and update master data related to production (materials, BOMs, routings).
• Collaborate closely with sales, logistics, and quality departments to coordinate order priorities.
• Provide temporary support for order entry and scheduling during absences or peak workload periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education / Experience:

• Completed commercial or technical education, or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment).

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and structured working style.

Languages:

• German: Minimum B2 (required for daily communication with production and logistics teams).
• English: Minimum B2 (working language within the Shared Services team).

Computer Skills:

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., K-Soft, SAP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
