Production Specialist - Curing

The company Toyo Tire Serbia was established in 2019, construction of a plant started in 2020, with production kicked off in 2022. The company plans to invest 390 million Euros and employ more than 500 employees in Inđija plant. The plant encompasses Tire Test track and the first bifacial and currently the largest Solar Power plant in Serbia which is under construction.

Job Description

The Production Specialist is responsible for supporting and optimizing tire manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production in line with Toyo Tires standards. The role focuses on process stability, waste reduction, and continuous improvement within a highly automated production environment.

• Responsible for the Vulcanization area, which also includes the Mold shop rooms.
• Adheres to and implements all safety rules and policies, is responsible for safety matters within the area of responsibility, encourages and actively promotes all company activities related to safety and occupational health protection; ensures that all employees in the area of responsibility wear the prescribed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Eliminates safety hazards by ensuring that all equipment is in a safe working condition and responds immediately to any safety threats.
• Responsible for implementing all items identified during HSE audits. Actively participates in the preparation and correction of training, development, and evaluation of employee work capabilities – operators and supervisors.
• Monitors the progress in the training level of operators within their area of responsibility, as well as their performance (output and scrap) for the purpose of calculating the monthly bonus.
• Actively participates in monitoring KPIs (goals) for their production process, analyzes indicators, and implements corrective actions related to the results.
• Updates the DMS board daily.
• Responsible for the monthly result of the 5S audit for their process in production and for the timely closure of all open actions related to the adherence to 5S standards, as well as organizing and conducting employee training for 5S.
• Actively encourages a safe, clean, and well-organized working environment.
• Develops and introduces new systems to improve processes and products, reduce costs, and increase production quality.
• Responsible for monitoring production results in their area of responsibility, as well as for continuously implementing actions aimed at improving productivity, reducing scrap and waste, and maintaining quality in their production process.
• Responsible for identifying hazardous or risky situations in the production process (quality drop, lack of operators, lack of tools, or equipment failure) and without delay notifying the direct supervisor and company management.
• Responsible for regularly reviewing and maintaining work procedures (SOPs) for their production process up to date.
• Participates in daily meetings related to scrap analysis in their area of responsibility.
• Responsible for monitoring and adhering to the production plan, implementing corrections in case of changes, as well as ensuring the necessary stock for the production process.
• Provides support to the maintenance team in establishing regular PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities.
• Responsible for adhering to the FIFO standard in their production process and for correctly labeling inventory in production to ensure the smooth transfer of semi-finished products between machines.
• Controls optimal stock levels of indirect materials to avoid production stoppages.
• Responsible for the inventory results in their production process, as well as for the data in inventory lists sent to Finance.

Profile:

• University Degree of Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial engineering)
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive or tire manufacturing environment
• Well understanding of human relations and team concept and team work
• Maintenance systems knowledge, PM/TPM
• Experience with OEE tracking, TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma tools
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and innovative approach
• Advanced in English
