Project Manager – Operations

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Operations with a strong hands-on approach and a proven ability to lead operational and process improvement projects in a dynamic automotive environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically skilled, familiar with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949 and VDA), and able to work effectively within international, cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, timelines, resources, deliverables, and communication plans
• Lead operational projects directly on the shop floor with a strong hands-on presence
• Drive collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Production teams
• Execute change management initiatives and ensure successful implementation of new processes
• Maintain full project documentation and ensure compliance with automotive standards
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Communicate project status, risks, and actions clearly to customers
• Conduct post-project analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA standards (e.g., VDA 6.3)
• Hands-on, proactive mindset with a strong shop floor presence
• Proven experience in project execution and change management
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Fluency in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Lean / Six Sigma certification
