Purchasing Specialist - Direct Material

We are looking for:

Purchasing Specialist who will be responsible for supplier management, inventory optimization, and process improvement within the supply chain.

Tasks:

Order Management:

• Create purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders
• Oversee supplier management to ensure timely delivery and adherence to cost, quality, and reliability specifications.
• Manage contracts in SAP for each OV repair based on part number.

Supplier Selection:

• Analyze offers and define technical and economic conditions
• Allocate suppliers based on specifications

Material Planning:

• Manage inventory and material planning for new parts
• Optimize inventory in line with best practices

Performance Evaluation:

• Process cost estimates and handle complaints.
• Assess supplier performance and implement improvement measures.
• Monitor OV vendor performance against agreed TAT and quality standards.

Supplier Engagement:

• Organize supplier meetings, workshops, and visits (often in a foreign language)
• Ensure effective communication regarding critical products/services.
• Coordinate with OV vendors for repair progress and delivery schedules

Data Management:

• Maintain SAP master data related to materials, suppliers, and pricing.
• Assist with supplier approvals in collaboration with the quality department.
• Initiate Vendor Approval Process and manage Supplier Approval for OV vendors.
• Keep OV orders updated in SAP (system maintenance)

Project Support:

• Participate in initiatives to enhance procurement processes.
• Provide analysis and reports as needed, including OV process KPIs (e.g., TAT compliance).

Requirements:

• University degree in the fields of aerospace mechanics, business administration and engineering studies, logistics, etc. 
• Technical understanding (drawings, shop processes, material flow), basic knowledge of material management
• 3 years or more of professional experience in purchasing or logistics in the engine industry or aircraft mechanic
• Experience in a shop or technical purchasing is desirable
• Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Proactive working methods and decision-making skills desirable
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• English language (written and fluent oral communication)
