About the Role: 

For this role, we are looking for a React Frontend Engineer who is passionate about building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability web and mobile applications. An ideal candidate will care about producing clean, maintainable, well-tested code and will do this as a member of a team, helping the group come up with solutions to balance performance, cost, and quality. We are looking for someone with experience in writing code for a 24x7 commercial service.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern, user-facing web applications in React
• Develop new features and improve existing functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborate with Product, Backend, Data, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software
• Ensure applications are responsive, accessible, and performant
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Contribute to improving build, test, and deployment workflows
• Support and troubleshoot production issues when needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development
• Strong proficiency in React
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building responsive and accessible web applications
• Understanding of modern frontend architecture and best practices
• Experience working with APIs and backend integrations
• Familiarity with  CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Strong communication skills and team mindset
• Availability to overlap with U.S. time zones when needed

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native or mobile development
• Experience shipping apps to App Store / Google Play
• Experience with monitoring/debugging tools (Sentry, Firebase, etc.)
• Exposure to high-traffic or real-time systems
• Basic understanding of backend or full-stack workflows
