Senior Accountant

We are looking for:

• An experienced accountant capable of overseeing accounting operations and with in-depth knowledge of accounting standards and principles
• Detail-oriented person ready to respond to complex accounting and tax issues with a mindset to propose measures to improve company financial position
• Cooperative person with excellent communication skills ready to pass the knowledge to the other accountants/junior accountants

Your responsibilities:

• Overseeing and recording all business documents, including incoming and outgoing invoices
• Continuous reconciliation of balances with customers and suppliers
• Posting and controlling general ledger entries, and reconciling analytical records
• Posting RSD and foreign currency bank statements, reconciling bank accounts, verifying deposits, and responding to bank inquiries
• Verifying and enforcing supplier invoice payments, and linking statements to invoices
• Monthly book closing in line with group requirements to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Active participation in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax balance
• Supporting external auditors by gathering and preparing required documentation
• Participation in preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Recording fixed assets and posting depreciation calculations
• Monitoring changes in accounting and tax regulations
• Providing support to the Finance Manager & Chief Accounting with various accounting and administrative tasks

Our requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar accounting roles
• Knowledge of local and international accounting standards
• Strong proficiency with SAP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Experience in manufacturing companies is an advantage (not a requirement)
• Strong analytical skills, precision, accuracy, and a systematic approach to work
• High level of responsibility and readiness for continuous learning and improvement
• Advanced knowledge of English
