HMD Transport is seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations Specialist to join our brokerage team in Belgrade.

As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will play a key role at HMD Transport by ensuring smooth shipment flow and providing timely, accurate status updates for both internal and external customers. Your experience in process optimization, improving workflow efficiency, and identifying opportunities for operational enhancements will be essential in maintaining high standards of service and contributing directly to overall efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

What Kind of Candidate Is Suited for This Opportunity?

• Previous experience in the Logistics and Supply Chains is not required, but a plus;
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal;
• Strong project oversight skills and the ability to structure, organize, and follow through on tasks;
• Experience in leading teams is a plus, but not mandatory;
• Ability to analyze tasks from multiple inputs and clearly identify priorities;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Service-oriented individual with effective customer interaction skills;
• Advanced ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

What Would Be Your Responsibilities?

• Track and trace daily shipment progress, ensuring proper movement, on-time delivery, and identifying opportunities for process improvement;
• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document important information clearly and efficiently;
• Respond to any issues from pickups and/or deliveries, coordinate with the appropriate departments, and suggest ways to prevent recurring problems;
• Manage daily freight schedules while optimizing workflow and operational efficiency;
• Perform accurate and timely data entry and proactively recommend improvements to existing processes;
• Interact with customers via telephone and email politely, professionally, and service-oriented, assist them with the current status of shipments, and maintain clear communication with other departments to ensure smooth order completion;
• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality results and actively participate in projects aimed at improving processes, operations, and overall efficiency;
• Provide ideas and recommendations for operational enhancements based on practical experience and workflow insights.
