Senior VAT Specialist

Location: Belgrade

In this position, you will provide support for international VAT and custom matters including tax planning, compliance, audits, and reporting, with a focus on Swiss, EU, and Serbian regulations.

Your responsibilities:

• Tax planning and optimization regarding international VAT (with special focus on Swiss, EU and Serbian VAT) and customs
• Provide support to Business Divisions regarding international VAT and customs related matters (e.g. contracting business)
• Work closely with Senior Manager VAT in VAT audits / support SRT subsidiaries regarding local VAT audits
• Support VAT compliance including group internal tax reportings, annual CbCR and OECD BEPS Pillar II
• Provide guidance to internal logistics department on international VAT and customs related matters

Your profile:

• 3-5 years big4 experience or equivalent in indirect taxes and customs
• University degree in finance or equivalent (Bachelor/Master)
• Strong understanding of international VAT legislation and regulations
• Clear and effective communication with relevant stakeholders able to transfer knowledge
• C1 level of English is a must
• team oriented, committed and able to cope with pressure
• Attention to detail
• ability to work accurately, efficiently and reliably
• eager to learn and broaden VAT knowledge across multiple jurisdictions
