We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Web Developer to join our client, a fast-growing, healthcare company based in the US.

You will develop and maintain the backend logic that powers a WordPress-based website, using Python to support core features, data handling, and system functionality. Your work will focus on building reliable backend components, connecting external services through API integrations, and ensuring the website runs smoothly across all environments. This is a high-impact role for someone experienced with web development, familiar with working alongside CMS platforms like WordPress, and comfortable managing integrations and backend workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with other team members to support new features, improve performance, and maintain a stable, scalable web platform.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in web development
• 4+ years of experience working with WordPress-based websites
• Hands-on experience with Python for backend development
• Hands-on experience with API integrations and connecting external services
• Solid understanding of general web technologies, backend logic, and website architecture
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across backend and CMS environment
• Nice to have: Familiarity with frontend technology

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop backend features, services, and integrations using Python and related backend technologies
• Maintain, enhance, and extend the company’s WordPress-based website, ensuring smooth interaction between WordPress and custom backend services
• Integrate, and optimize APIs to support data exchange with internal systems
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the website’s backend services and integrations
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and deliver web features
• Ensure all backend code adheres to healthcare-industry standards around security, privacy, and data integrity
• Support ongoing platform upgrades, plugin integrations, and system migrations when required
