Our products and solutions are used worldwide in demanding industrial and utility environments.
Your new responsibilities will include:
- Development of software solutions for robot-assisted systems
- Development of embedded firmware for microcontroller platforms, especially STM32
- Development, implementation, and support of Linux-based control systems on Raspberry Pi or comparable SoC platforms
- Development of software components for backend systems and cloud communication
- Integration and use of industrial communication interfaces and bus systems (e.g. CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, TCP/IP)
- Control and integration of sensors, actuators, and electronic assemblies
- Close collaboration with hardware development and mechanical design in the further development of our systems
What you bring with you:
- A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in software development in a technical environment, as well as in the independent development of embedded systems
- Experience in the development of embedded systems, both on microcontroller-based platforms (preferably STM32) and on embedded Linux / SoC platforms (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
- Very good knowledge of C/C++ for embedded software, as well as good knowledge of Python and C#
- Good knowledge of common microcontroller interfaces and peripherals (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, GPIO)
- Experience with industrial bus systems and communication interfaces (e.g. CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, TCP/IP)
- Experience in hardware-related troubleshooting, commissioning, and the use of debugging and test tools for embedded systems
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, e.g. FreeRTOS, is an advantage
- Confident use of Git as well as structured development processes, testing, validation, and technical documentation
- Good understanding of electronic principles and technical interfaces between software and hardware
- Confident technical English for collaboration with an international team
- An independent way of working and an interest in interdisciplinary development at the interface of software, electronics, and mechanics
