Test and Quality Assurance Specialist - Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with hands-on experience in testing TV applications (Smart TV, OTT platforms, or Set-Top Box solutions) to join our team. 

Your responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, maintain, execute, and report test cases for IT systems, with focus on TV application testing (Smart TV, set-top boxes, OTT solutions, etc.)
• Document and prioritize all found defects; create and track defect tickets in collaboration with development teams
• Monitor and report on the status of open defects to ensure timely resolution
• Participate in QA activities across projects: understand project scope, expected deliverables, acceptance criteria, and use cases; design and execute relevant test cases accordingly
• Deliver optimal test plans aligned with the accepted test strategy
• Establish and maintain required test environments and test data for TV and related systems
• Identify and communicate risks related to incomplete test environments or missing test data
• Support and advise business stakeholders during user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate closely with system/application owners, project managers, developers, and other key stakeholders
• Stay updated on QA best practices, especially in E2E testing within the Telco and media streaming industry
• Prepare testing reports including defect metrics, test summaries, and analytical insights
• Lead and coordinate a dedicated testing team when needed
• Promote the use of tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Postman, and SoapUI
• Apply deep understanding of test automation tools (Cypress, BrowserStack) for both web and TV app testing

For a good start, you will need:

• University degree (Telecommunications, IT, or related field)
• Minimum 3 years of testing experience, with proven experience in TV application testing (Smart TV, Android TV, Tizen, WebOS, or similar platforms)
• Good understanding of business processes and product lifecycle in the Telco or media domain
• Strong multitasking ability and efficiency across multiple projects
• Result-oriented mindset with attention to quality
• Test manager license or certifications – a plus
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
